What is a Voiding Diary?

A voiding diary (also called a bladder diary) is a way to keep track of your voiding habits. Your doctor might ask you to keep one if you are having problems with incontinence or other urinary problems. Or, you may be interested in keeping track for yourself.

Whatever your reason for keeping a voiding diary, Vesica was designed to make it easy for you to use your phone to keep track of your voiding habits.

Overview

The main screen of Vesica is an overview of your diary entries. You can see all your recent entry information at a glance, and can scroll down to see older entries.

Add an entry

When you create a new entry in your Vesica diary, you can add as much or as little information as you want. You can create an entry for a void earlier in the day and simply select the time it happened. And if you made a mistake or need to update an existing entry, you can easily edit it.

You or your doctor can learn the most about your voiding habits when you measure the volume of each void. However, that is not always possible. Vesica allows you to record a volume if you have it, or simply note an unmeasured void.

Summary

To make it easier to share your voiding information with your doctor, Vesica can generate a PDF summary of all of you entries. You can then print it or email it to your doctor, or keep a copy for yourself.

Easy-to-use

Vesica does not require a login account, so you can start using it as soon as you download it. When you add an entry to your diary, everything you need is on one page, so there is no need to answer a seemingly endless series of questions.

Flexible

You or your doctor can learn the most about your voiding habits when you measure the volume of each void. However, that is not always possible. Vesica allows you to record a volume if you have it, or simply note an unmeasured void.

When you create a new entry in your Vesica diary, you can add as much or as little information as you want. You can create an entry for a void earlier in the day and simply select the time it happened. And if you made a mistake or need to update an existing entry, you can easily edit it.

Private

From the icon design to how your data is stored, Vesica aims to help you keep your sensitive information private. The name and icon are subtle, to avoid drawing attention from anyone casually glancing at your phone.

All of the data you enter into Vesica is kept on your phone, and is encrypted whenever your phone is locked. Your data is never sent to the cloud, and we can't access it on your device.
