Vesica was developed by Brina Goyette, a medical student at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine. 

The overall design is based on the paper voiding diary developed and verified by E. Bright et. al. and accepted as the bladder diary of the International Consultation on Incontinence Modular Questionnaire (ICIQ).
